This Year’s Topic
Jesus Christ: The Focus of the Old Testament
This year’s conference will focus on the foundational significance of the Old Testament Scriptures—of which Christ said, “They are they which testify of me” (John 5:29b). The thrust of the messages will be to demonstrate that Jesus Christ, the Living Word, is the sum and substance of the Old Testament. Thus, the New Testament can only be properly understood and interpreted in light of the comprehensive witness of the Old Testament. After all, the Old Testament was the Bible of Christ and the apostles. Dr. Barrett’s messages will demonstrate the continuity of God’s redemptive message throughout all of Scripture: The Christ of the New Testament is the Christ of the Old.
